Chris Brown's Kids' Choice Awards Nominations Protested

Despite petition from parents, Nickelodeon stands by decision not to remove Brown or Rihanna from ballot.
Some parents are outraged that Nickelodeon has not removed controversial Kids' Choice Awards nominees Chris Brown and Rihanna from the ballot. As of Tuesday, 5,284 parents had signed an online petition asking that they be removed, reports People.com.
In a statement to People, the network stands by its decision not to remove Brown, who has been charged with felony assault and making criminal threats, as a nominee for the show set to air on March 28. "Like all our KCA nominees, Chris Brown was nominated by kids several months ago based on his body of work as a performer," a Nickelodeon rep said. "And the kids who vote will ultimately decide who wins in the category."
Brown is up for two awards, Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song for "Kiss Kiss," the latter of which finds him up against his girlfriend and alleged victim, Rihanna. A spokesperson for the show confirmed that Brown would not be attending the show.
"Chris has been hanging out with Rihanna, working on his music and spending time with and speaking with his mother and pastor," a source told People.
On Tuesday, Diddy rather uncomfortably opened up on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" about why he allowed Brown and Rihanna to vacation at his Miami home after the February 8 incident.
"It was a dark time for them, and I was there as more of a support," he said. "I'm not immersed in [the proceedings]. I'm not going to pass judgment on it. I'm going to be there as a friend."

Donald Trump Calls Rihanna a "Loser"

Donald Trump is once again speaking his mind — this time about the Chris Brown and Rihanna debacle.
The Donald recently lashed out at Rihanna, telling Inside Edition he would have "fired" the "Umbrella" singer for going back to Brown.
"She better get the hell out," he says. "If she goes back, she's a loser and she doesn't deserve to have any future success."
Trump is of course referring to the now infamous "alleged" Feb. 8 fight between Chris and Rihanna, which left her with a battered face. Something tells us Brown will never be appearing on Trump's show, Celebrity Apprentice.

Coolio arrested for crack possession

Grammy-winning rapper Coolio was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday on suspicion of possessing drugs, police said.
The 45-year-old rapper, whose real name is Artis Levon Ivey Jr, was taken into custody at an LAX terminal at mid-morning after he was found with the narcotics, a Los Angeles police spokeswoman said.
The spokeswoman said she had no further details on the arrest but celebrity website TMZ reported that he was found with crack cocaine while going through security before boarding a Southwest Airlines flight.
Coolio first gained fame in 1995 with the hit single "Gangsta's Paradise" and multi-million selling album of the same name. His follow-up albums have failed to match that success.
The rapper has since appeared on several reality TV shows, including "Celebrity Fear Factor," and hosted the online program "Cookin With Coolio."

Video: Tony Yayo - Somebody Snitched On Me
Tony Yayo drops a new music video for his diss track to Rick Ross called "Somebody Snitched On Me".
Rick Ross Deeper Than Rap Details
Miami MC releases song titles, collaboration information for album that drops April 21.
According to Rick Ross, his Deeper Than Rap album — set to drop April 21 — will be his hip-hop "inauguration." The LP, originally slated for a March 24 release, has been pushed back a month. Ross and his reps recently released a bit more info on the project, supplying us with collabos and song titles.
"Valley of Death" features Mary J. Blige, while The-Dream's go-to guy, producer Tricky Stewart, supplied the beat for "All I Want." Other beat men on the LP include the Runner, who wrote tracks for "Boss' Lady," "In Cold Blood" and "Laid Back," and Drumma Boy, who helmed "Face." The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League — the team behind many tracks on Ross' previous albums — produced "Maybach Music, Pt. 2," which features Lil Wayne and Kanye West. The League's handiwork can also be heard on "Rich Off Cocaine" and "Yacht Club." Nas also has a cameo on "Usual Suspects."
The Boss is also planning a mini-tour of New York this spring, the first stop being in 50 Cent's home borough of Queens.
"We got something coming up real soon," Ross told us recently. "We're having a big concert in New York City. The money I make will go to underprivileged kids — some of the orphans. I'm starting in Queens, then I'm going to the Bronx, then I'm going to Brooklyn, then I'm stopping in Harlem, then I'm going to 305 [Miami]. Real people do real things."

T.I. is slated to perform a benefit concert on March 5, one that will help an under privileged area, and aid in the building of a community center. The event will take place at the University of Central Florida Arena, starting at 7:30 pm. The concert was put together by “Bailey’s B.A.S.H., a non profit organization that provides various services for communities that need assistance.
